Welcome to SunrunnerVeterans.com! Sunrunner Veterans is a community website for former and current SWG players from the Sunrunner Galaxy.
Sunrunner Veterans is here to bring former and current Sunrunner Players together. Our goal is to provide one single gathering place for players to meet old friends, communicate and get updates on SWGEmu.
What is SWGEmu? SWGEmu is a Star Wars Galaxies Emulator. Basically, a group of people are working to "emulate" a pre-cu server. This will allow us to play SWG the way it used to be, for free!

The Forums are offline due to a security vulnerability.
As many of you have already heard, there is a security issue with the website. The only way to resolve this issue is to move the entire database to a new portal / forum system.
Temporary forums are online. These temporary forums will be used until we get moved over to our new portal. Forums posts from the temporary forums will NOT be moved to the new forums!

First, I would like to announce that Sunrunner Veterans has moved to a new server!
The only bad part about the move was the fact that my host decided to tell me about it AFTER the site had been taken down. I had no chance to put up a news post and let you guys know.

hey everyone!
I know it's been a while since the last update, but we have some good stuff for you today. Firstly, Today is the anniversary of SWGemu successfully loading into zone. One year ago. Thank you everyone for all of the support, donations and warm wishes. It wouldn't have lasted this long without you all.
Now lets get down to business. With today's update you will see the introduction to several new things, including: Guilds, Recruiters, and the badge system. There will be another tiny update later this week that will put on Planetary chat, and we will also be having a Q&A time TBD. We know NPCs and creatures are on the wish list for everyone right now, we've finished the databases for them. You can expect to see them very soon hopefully. the reason they are being delayed so long is because of some tricky issues regarding their movement. That's why krayts on TC just sort of stand still when we spawn them. We'll have more info on it at the Q&A this week. So, we look forward to seeing you all there.

Planet map was silently added last week, and its fully functional for all planets.
Waypoints, and Groups are pretty much done. I need to finish up a few things on them after class today but they're pretty much complete. I spent almost all weekend on groups, and couldn't figure out this one packet to remove people from groups until Ultyma stepped in. So thank him for group completion, otherwise it probably would have been set aside. I will also be having his babies because he owns.
I had also completed research on missions, but those won't be in core3 until we're a bit further with the heightmap and the QT problem is fixed (see below).
TA has been working hard on combat related actions such as block, counterattack, blind, stun etc so good work on that .
Recently a problem with QuadTre arose and it was because of the NPC trainers. It's a problem I have no idea how to fix, but I think Oru is working on that . NPC trainers will be removed temporarily until a fix can be issued.
Thats it for now I think...
In the next week we'll probably have a Q/A soon as groups and waypoints make it on live tc. Ultyma and I are probably going to be doing fishing, guilds, group/planet/chat channels in the next few days - they're pretty easy.

Weee for more updates. You guys should log into CORE3 if you haven't.... It is a LOT of fun! There are also a good amount of Sunrunner players on there too.

Yes thats right.
Just put dancer/musician/entertainer stuff onto SVN should it should make its way onto TC very shortly.
Also added the player titles last night which I believe already made its way on there.
TA finished off the travel system so now its complete with menus, messages and animations (oh my).
gasp!.
Woot! Hop on test center and check out the new changes! My name on the emu test center is Vanz Sunrunner. If you are from the Sunrunner server then make sure your last name is Sunrunner!

I guess I should update on whats been going on. Since not everyone is on IRC.
I started hardcore working on core 3 on Tuesday.
Since Tuesday morning, I added many things.
Biographies, Guild Listing, Character Sheet Info, Planetary Map, Tickets, Shuttles, Badges, and Weather stuff.
TheAnswer added the Trainers which are working awesome.
Ramsey is working on some top sekretz.
Donkey is doing Armor.
Oru is.. well.. he's Oru. He does everything .
So ya. I post screens regularly on IRC. And I have a private test group to test new things as I add them.
Thats about it. I added so much stuff over the last 24 hours I can't even remember it all.
As a team, we rock. We get so much done together.
Core 3 FTW. SWGEmu FTW.

TA's trainer NPC's are on live TC. The rest of the features mentioned above should make it on TC in the next few days, when the server is recompiled and restarted.
As we said before, SWG features are ezpz when the server is stable.

I don't think we've formally introduced our newest developers: DonkeyP and synodu. We'll get around to it
Synodu is someone that is working on the top sekretz project with me, not core3. DonkeyP was able to jump right into core3 and get to armor. so yeah woot1!q!1!

| Temporary Developer for Hire |

I am looking to hire a temporary developer that will work directly underneath me for a specific tools developing task. You will NOT be working on core3, or anything that would deal with the server aspect of research. You will be tasked with developing a basic world editor.
The world editor must:
-Have a 3d view of a terrain
-Manipulate terrain (raise/lower it)
-import/export heightmaps
-Drop and manipulate objects on the terrain (rotate, move, scale etc).
-Be written in C# or C++.
Other than that there are no restrictions. If you have built a 3d world editor before that can preform the above tasks you may use it for the task.
What will you get in return?
Not money, I dont have that. But you will be credited for your work, and be exposed to future benefits when they arise.
Please post applications with past experience if you are suited for this task. This topic WILL be moderated heavily so please post applications, and questions only if you are an applicant.
